Praying for the revival
of the Church in the Athens area

 
"I the LORD do not change. . . .
Return to me and I will return to you." (Malachi 3: 6a, 7b)

• Seek God for a fresh, personal encounter with Him.
  
  
• Confess sin (personal and corporate).
  
  
• Ask God to help you turn from sin to righteousness.
  
  
• Pray for God to show you how to disentangle yourself from time-stealing commitments that don't have kingdom value.
  
  
  
  
• Acknowledge that a sovereign move of God is the only hope for the future of the Athens area.
  
  
• Ask God for an overt and unmistakable manifestation of the presence of Jesus in the Church of Greater Athens.
  
  
• Thank Him for the stirrings of revival which already are being seen.
  
  
  
  
• Ask God to increase your hope every time you pray for revival and spiritual awakening.
  
  
• Ask the Father to give believers hearts to be unified and strategies to be effective in carrying on Jesus' work of seeking and saving the lost.
  
  
• Pray that the heavenly floodgates would be thrown open and that the river of God would inundate the Athens area. (Ezekiel 47:1-12)
  
  
• Ask God to astound His Church with a work of grace so amazing that we would not believe it now, even if we were told. (Habakkuk 1:5)
