Praying for Athens-area schools

 

For students
Pray…
  • that students would come to know God's love in Jesus Christ;

  • that they would become students of the Scriptures;

  • for protection from alcohol, sexual activity, violence, hate, envy, jealousy, greed and selfishness;

  • for protection on playgrounds and sports fields as well as in the classrooms;

  • for safety on school buses;

  • for the students who drive their cars, that they will drive with care and be protected from accidents;

  • for positive, guiding friendships with older mentors;

  • for good communication with parents;

  • for positive, cooperative attitudes among students;

  • for power to withstand peer pressure to sin;

  • that Christian teens would have divine strength to make principled, moral decisions;

  • for sturdy friendships with others of their generation who are following Jesus;

  • that God's intentions for the youth of the Athens area would come forth in fullest measure;

  • that the hearts of our young people would be open to receive the transforming power of Jesus Christ.

 

For parents and households

Pray…
  • for entire households to come to Christ;

  • for the parents to be supportive and to provide their children with parameters for proper behavior;

  • for God to remove any household abuse or violence and replace it with His love.

 

For teachers

Pray…
  • for teachers to come to know God's love in Jesus Christ;

  • for God to correct any misunderstandings or overcome negative experiences that have kept some from giving a fair hearing to the gospel;

  • for teachers' safety;

  • for substitute teachers to have the respect and attention of students;

  • that Christian teachers will not grow weary in well doing.

 

For administrators

Pray…
  • that administrators will demonstrate kindness, positive leadership and honesty in all decisions/actions;

  • that they will make wise decisions will be made regarding curriculum, rules, hiring, etc.



God be gracious to our young people.
Bless them and make Your face shine upon them.
May Your salvation be revealed to those
who attend our Athens-area schools.
