ON
SCRIPTURE From Specifically,
salvation involves (1) the whole
process by which people are delivered
from all that interferes with the
enjoyment of God's blessings; and, (2)
the actual enjoyment of those
blessings. Through
His perfect life, suffering, death, and
resurrection, Jesus has done everything
necessary to deliver people from
bondage to sin and from the fear of
death. The
salvation Jesus Christ brings is not
merely deliverance from future
punishment, but also from sin as a
present power (see Rom. 6). Indeed,
the Bible declares that salvation in
Christ provides a solution for the
entire problem of sin, in all its many
aspects. --

A
word from the Word:
'Salvation'
Salvation
-- noun -- The root idea in
salvation is deliverance from danger or
evil.
The
central theme of the New Testament is
that salvation is freely given to all
who turn from their sin and put their
hope in Jesus Christ.
